About our Service

Access Policy

Open to all Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service staff. External users by appointment only.

Collection and Service Information

A specialist library for transfusion medicine, protein fractionation, pharmaceutical manufacture and engineering,

The Transfusion Medicine database contains around 1000 records and consists of archive books, pamphlets and some theses.

The Protein Fractionation and Pharmaceutical Manufacture database contains over 37,000 records which includes books, articles, videos, staff publications, British Standards, Council of the European Communities Directives, European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products publications, Food and Drug Administration publications, Government Acts, Health and Safety publications, Medicines Act leaflets and almost 1000 Research and Development Reports.
