Access Policy

Access is restricted to Cancer Centre staff and Belfast HSC Trust staff with links to oncology. Access by Belfast HSC Trust staff ID Pass. Students are permitted to use the Library only when on placement in the Cancer Centre, by agreement with their course tutor.
Staff from other Health and Social Care (HSC) Trusts should contact the Library.

Collection and Service Information

Clinical Oncology. Multidisciplinary.

Collection of 800 print books specific to clinical oncology with multidisciplinary content. A borrower card should be completed for each book borrowed. There is also a small collection of 50 core reference books which should not be removed from the Library. Several current print journals are available and an archive of recent print journals. Journals should not be removed from the Library.

There are many relevant electronic journals, databases and electronic books available on the Healthcare Library Website for all Northern Ireland Health and Social Care staff.

Five PCs and a printer are available to use with a Belfast HSC Trust login. Study desks are available for quiet study. The Library Assistant can perform searches and provide training for electronic resources on the Healthcare Library website.
