Opening Times

We are staffed Monday - Friday: 9.00 - 17.00. However, the Library can be accessed outside these hours 24/7 with an enabled Trust ID badge.

About our Service

Access Policy

The Library can be used by all Trust staff and students on placement; all Hull and York medical students (HYMS) and staff; all University of York Health Sciences students and staff. There is a reciprocal arrangement in place between York Teaching Hospital Library Service and York St John University which covers access to both libraries.

If anyone else would like to use the Library they should contact the Library Manager on 01904 726713.

Please note that members of the public can use the library for reference only purposes. Visits are by appointment only. Please contact the Library Manager before visiting the library.

Collection and Service Information

The library is primarily for York Hospital staff. Items are held on medical, nursing, health and NHS topics.
