Opening Times

Monday - Thursday: 9.00 - 17.00; Friday 9.00 - 16.30.
Closed: Weekends and Bank Holidays.
However, the Library can be accessed using a keypad outside these hours, please visit the Library to obtain a code for the keypad

About our Service

Access Policy

The Library can be used by all Trust staff and students on placement; all Hull and York medical students (HYMS) and staff; all University of York Health Sciences students and staff. There is a reciprocal arrangement in place between York Teaching Hospital Library Service and York St John University which covers access to both libraries.

If anyone else would like to use the Library they should contact the Library Manager on 01904 726713.

Please note that members of the public can use the library for reference only purposes. Visits are by appointment only. Please contact the Library Manager before visiting the library.

Collection and Service Information

The library is primarily for Scarborough Hospital and community staff, items are held on medical, nursing health and NHS topics.
