Opening Times

The library is open to RSM members Monday-Sunday 7am-11pm.

Library staffed hours are 9:30am – 6pm Monday – Thursday and 9:30am-5.30pm on Fridays.

Closes Bank Holidays and one week at Christmas.

Access Policy

Collection and Service Information

All aspects of biomedical science. Postgraduate with a wide focus across medical subjects with a clinical and research emphasis. Additionally, includes many rare books dating back to 1471.

The Royal Society of Medicine has one of the largest post-graduate biomedical libraries in Europe with a collection of over half a million volumes dating back to the 15th century.

The RSM also subscribes to many journal titles in print and electronic format, as well as access to e-books and medical databases. Services include PCs (including one accessible PC), printing/photocopying, document delivery, inter-library loan, literature searching, library tours, information skills programme and private study carrels.
