Collection and Service Information

A multidisciplinary library serving all staff, students and users of services provided by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The book collection covers Psychiatry; Psychology; Psychiatric Nursing; Intellectual & Learning Disabilities; Forensic Psychiatry; Rehabilitation & Recovery; Community Care: Social Work; Neurology; Psychopharmacology; Behavioural Sciences: Psychotherapy; Family Therapy; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy; Counselling; Substance Misuse; Dual Diagnosis; self help and personal development.

1. Self help, recovery and wellbeing collection of books and DVDs for service users, families and carers.
2.Public Health materials.
3.Small collection of documents about the history of Prestwich Hospital.

The Library has a stock of around 5,000 books. The library subscribes to Medline Complete, CINAHL Plus FT and Stahl online.
