Access Policy

Registered staff and students of Imperial College London and NHS staff in Trusts affiliated to Imperial.

Access to the Commonwealth Building is by ID card and PIN. On your first visit to the library without an Imperial University ID card please visit the Main College Reception desk on the ground floor of the Imperial College Translational & Experimental Medicine (ICTEM) Building. Reception staff will then let you into the ICTEM Building. Go to the 1st floor and then across the glass bridge into the Commonwealth Building.

ICTEM Reception is open:
Mon - Thu 8.30am - 16.50
Friday 8.30am - 16.20

Outside of these times you will not be able to access the Commonwealth Building without an ID and PIN Code. Information for visitors is available on the library website.
