We are normally staffed Mon - Fri: 9.00 - 17.00 which is when the library offers the full range of services.,When the library is not staffed 24/7 access is via BCH Trust ID card for reference and computer and Follow Me printing/scanning/photocopying use.
All BWC Trust staff (including locums, observers & secondments) and volunteers are entitled to join the Library and Knowledge Service with either site as their home library.All students whilst on placement at BCH are entitled to join the Library and Knowledge Service with BCH as their home library.Anyone who is a BWC Foundation Trust Member is entitled to join the Library and Knowledge Service with either site as their home library.All members of the BASE Library consortium are entitled to request loanable stock using their BASE Library card.Other eligible NHS staff may apply to join the library for a fee.
BCH Library has a collection of approx. 2,800 items of book stock. items). ,BCH staff and students on placement have access to approx. 1,000 e-books (BCH NHS Athens account required).BCH staff and students on placement have access to approx. 13,000 e-journal titles (BCH NHS Athens account required).BWC staff and students on placement have access to the NHS England resources via the Health Information Resources and NHS Evidence web sites (NHS Athens account required). The library is located on the lower ground floor of Ladywood House. Access is totally step free from the Hospital Main Entrance.
